Job Description
Thermal Engineer
Operations and Engineering in the Space Industry
Function description
-
- Analyse requirements and translate into a Thermal Control Concept
- Support design and development of the Thermal Control subsystem by analysis and trade-offs of thermal control design concepts
- Solve thermal control design problems in consultation with in-house specialists, customers and subcontractors
- Validate the Thermal Control Concept by Thermal Balance testing and/or analysis
- Specify thermal control equipment and/or hardware
- Contribute to overall system design on related subjects (interfaces, risk and budgets)
- Contribute to the Thermal Control Engineering knowledge base
Job requirements
-
- (University degree (MoS) Physics)
- Knowledge and experience with the design of thermal control systems
- Knowledge, experience on design of mathematical models of thermo mechanical systems
- Experience with Thermal Control software tools as ESATAN (TMS), ESARAD and Thermica
- Experience with Linux-based operating systems is preferred
- Good communication skills in speech and writing (English; Dutch is preferred but not strictly required)
- Team player

Duration: 6 Months with a possible extension
